Brunny Island cruise

The perfect start...8 am of a beautiful day at the Hobart harbor
If this is not the cleanest water in the world...
Waiting for the ferry in Kettering
Arriving at the Northern part of the Island...kind of reminds me of a region in Portugal, would those be olive trees!!
Salmon "farms"...they (too) have wonderful smoked salmon!!
The first glance of a Tasmanian beach (at Isthmus Bay or The Neck that joins the Northern and the Southern parts of the island)
Could be a swimming pool...or as my brother would call it...shark water!!!
One of the many caverns in Brunny Island
Tasmania has the world's largest areas of Jurassic dolerite rock
The second highest sea cliffs in Australia
A "breathing" rock
The dolphins were on strike!! :(
The Southern tip: Tasman Head
Where the Tasman sea meets the Southern Ocean
They seem to like the water mix (seals on the Friar Rocks)
Ok...maybe it's more about the sun!!!
And this was the closest we got to the so promised albatross ..a big bird which species I didn't quite get!

Sushi/Pastel de nata night at home

Introducing my flatmates Chuiyee from Malaysia, Soroush from Iran and Stina from Sweden

2 hours of home-made food :) ...this is how it turned out
This was all that was left!

And this is why!!! Three tiny girls with big stomachs...

This was the second  trial to make pastéis de nata (and much better than last week's trial, I must say)...getting closer to the real thing :)

First incursion to the city

Sandy Bay road where I do my daily shopping
Having lunch after a walk on Salamanca market
A tiny picture of what Salamanca market is...
The harbour and next to it a few (expensive) fish restaurants
Luckily, they also sell fresh fish...a bit more (a lot...and yet, still amazingly expensive) affordable!
If I remember right, from the flash guided tour on the first day, this is the most expensive restaurant
But right in front there is the fish man, where I will buy fresh fish every Saturday from now on :D
Elisabeth pedestrian street (the shopping area)
St. David's church
Kelly street and Kelly's steps leading from Salamanca place to Batery Point
The three above show Batery point, a historical old village, kind of high-class place!
And yes, I was finally wearing open shoes :P
